Thank you to the lovely This is me Mrs T for tagging me into ‘The Mummy Tag’. A series of questions to get to know your mummy blogging friends better.
The Mummy Tag
Are you a stay at home or working mum?
I am currently a stay at home mum, but I am trying really hard to create myself a little business so I can be a work from home mum
Would you have it any other way?
Some days I do miss being the one going out to work, but on the whole I do much prefer this set up!
Do you co sleep?
Not really, but it isn’t something I am against. Kinley probably slept in our bed the most as a baby, but that was because he was the only one I breastfed for a little while. He would often fall asleep on a night feed.
What is your one must have item for your baby?
Muslin cloths! They are fab for everything and I used them for months with all 3 children.
How many kids do you plan on having?
We are stopping at three! I do sometimes wish I still had the opportunity to have more, but we have our hands full as it is, plus there is the financial implication of more children. We would need a bigger car, and so many other things. Plus feeding a family of 5 is enough!
Date night, how often do you have them?
Not often enough. I think we had 4 last year! We don’t have any family near by so date nights need to be planned in advance. We have had a couple so far this year though, so hopefully that number will be a bit higher come the end of 2016.
Your child’s favourite show?
All 3 monkey’s love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It is one of the only programs that keeps Kinley still!
Name one thing you bought before you had your baby that you didn’t end up using?
A baby carrier. I just never, ever had reason to use it, so didn’t bother buying one with the other two.
Your child’s favourite food?
All 3 monkeys love Pizza! It was Hayden’s first word and what made him take his first steps!
How many cars do your family own?
Just the one, I don’t drive so we only need one car.
Weight gain before pregnancy, during, after and now?
I’m quite lucky, I have a natural slim frame, I literally put on the weight of each baby and that is it. I have a bit of a mum tum now, but nothing that I need to worry about, now I am on the other side of 30 though, I imagine it wont be long before I need to watch my diet a bit more.
Dream holiday with the kids?
It has to be Disneyland in Florida. I have wanted to go for so long, but James is making me wait until all three kids are old enough (and tall enough) to really get the most out of our trip. It will be a once in a lifetimes trip I’m sure!
Dream holiday without the kids?
I dream about this one more than the above! The Maldives, just me, the hubby, the beach and a little bit of luxury. Pure bliss!
How has your life changed since having kids?
In so many ways. Having that responsibility on a daily basis is a lot of work, but I do love it.
Finish the sentence: My heart melts when…
My children tell me they love me! It is the nicest feeling ever, and I will never get bored of hearing those words.
Where do you shop for your kids?
Anywhere really and it depends on the pennies, my favourites are Next and H&M though.
Favourite make up and skincare products?
I use simple skin care products and have done for years, it is affordable yet is still great on my skin. I’m generally a Bourjois girl when it comes to make up. But I’m not really fussy.
Huggies or Pampers?
Have you always wanted kids?
Yes, I always knew I’d have children one day. Being a wife and a mum was important to me.
Best part of being a mum?
The unconditional love those little monkey’s have for me. Being one of the people they will always need is a pretty awesome feeling.
