Well, It’s been a while since I posted anything on here! As you know in August I launched a brand new wedding blog called Confetti Ave. I had planned to launch my wedding blog whilst finishing off my redesign here and continuing to post as I was, but that wasn’t what happened. The wedding blog launch went a lot more successfully than I could have hoped for and I literally paid all my attention on Confetti Ave.
It’s been a while…
After 5 short weeks after Confetti Ave being live I was shortlisted for a Rising Star award in The Wedding Blog Awards. Something I never thought possible. I didn’t win the award but the excitement definitely ran away with me.
It has all gone by in a blur and Sons, Sand & Sauvignon got neglected. But I am back!
After a lot of thought and a bit of a war in my head, I decided to park Sons, Sand & Sauvignon for a little while to decide whether I could manage both blogs or not. I have tried before and failed, but I also am not ready to ‘close up shop’ just yet. This blog has given me some amazing things over the past 18 months and I’m not ready to see all that slip away.
I have also burnt myself out a little bit with Confetti Ave. the excitement of a successful launch drove me to work harder than I ever have before. I would sit at my laptop for 12 hours a day, only leaving to do something for the kids or cook dinner. But blogger burn out came and bit me hard!
A new start & a new schedule
I have finally decided that I am able to manage both but I will have to pull back a little. It has always been important to me to post daily. However I have since realised how much that affected the quality of my content. Especially on Confetti Ave. So I am going to post on both blogs a little less than I have previously, to allow me to create quality content for both.
I’m also about to launch a new business and a new feature on Confetti Ave, so things are going to be quite crazy over the coming weeks whilst I try and organise my time to be able to achieve everything I want to achieve. Things have been tough at home recently and I am trying my hardest to turn that around for the better.
Lots has been happening so I have plenty of content ready for you! I will be updating you all on how things have been with Hayden and the rest of my crazy family soon!
Thanks for being patient with me! And wish me luck!
