Welcome to this week’s Budget Beautiful inspiration post!
This is where I take the theme from the wedding I shared with you earlier in the week and give you some shots of inspiration, so you can achieve a similar look for a similar kind of budget!
This week I shared the lovely Alice’s ‘Chilled Summer Garden’ Theme. And what a pretty wedding it was! Once again, Thank you Alice for letting me share your beautiful day.
So what can you expect from today’s inspiration post?
Lots of colour, lots of flowers and some oh so pretty details that you can achieve for hardly any pennies at all!
So what comes to mind when you think of the summer?
Sunshine, Warm weather, & Bright coloured flowers. And of course Summer is ‘Wedding Season’. So whilst you can do so much yourself to achieve this gorgeous theme, some of the necessary items can be slightly bumped in price!
So the first tip:
**Do your research with regards to venues, catering and photographers**
Wedding fayre’s are a great place to bag a bargain, as there are so many companies looking for business. There are plenty on all year round, at various places. Look for local one’s at hotels, racecourses, golf clubs & football grounds. Here are just 3 I found:
For me, A Summer Garden theme, is all about bright bold colours. Think a beautiful garden full of flowers. And that’s where I am going with this.
Any colour goes but I think these colours are a perfect combination. The navy blue just pulls all the colours together. Like Alice you could dress your maids in a navy blue and then decorate the venue however you see fit. In what ever colour takes your fancy.
Summer Garden Theme Mood Board
For me, a summer garden wedding needs to have plenty of pretty floral decoration. But you don’t have to spend thousands to achieve a gorgeous flower filled venue. The first way of saving money when it comes to flowers is use flowers that are in season. Using a flower that isn’t in season immediately bumps up the price as a florist would have to source them from overseas. Here are just a few flowers that are in season over the summer, and also look gorgeous!
The second way of saving money here is, do you need a florist for ALL of your decoration? Many people (me included) would be too nervous to make their own bouquet’s. But something I love about this theme is that the DIY look doesn’t look out of place at all. I found this image on Pinterest and I just LOVE this bouquet.
If, like me you’re too nervous to have a go yourself, use a florist for the bouquets but think about how you can DIY centrepieces and other decorations. Alice had these gorgeous floral decorations, and the simplicity is just perfect! Alice kept her costs down here by visiting a flower market the day before her wedding and used wine bottles she had collected whilst planning. Just beautiful
Details on a Shoestring
As i said above, with a ‘Summer Garden’ theme. DIY never looks out of place.
Stationery can be created by simply using Microsoft word and adding a couple of details. Like this Save the Date.
Lanterns, Pinwheels & Bunting also fit perfectly into this theme and can be recreated at home.
Another inexpensive detail that will add so much atmosphere to this theme is candles. In jars, bottles, on their own, hanging from trees. Just get creative! They look gorgeous as it starts to go dark and the party starts!
So that’s it for this weeks Inspiration post! Alice what a lovely theme!
I hope you are inspired.
