When we were told recently we were being sent something from the new Noddy toy range from Spin Master to review I was unsure which little monkey would be the lucky one to have the chance to be the first to play with it. Ellis is the only one of my children familiar with the Noddy character however he always seems to be the one to help mummy review items. Hayden rarely takes any interest in regular toys based for his age group so I was secretly hoping the toy I was sent would be suitable for Kinley. I was thrilled when I opened the box to find the Noddy Remote Control Car which is aimed at children from 2+.
Noddy Remote Control Car – A Review
The Noddy car comes with the lovable character in his famous little red and yellow car with a little blue steering wheel remote control. The wheel has a couple of simple and basic buttons for your little on to have fun with.
You can make Noddy’s car move forwards or reverse ‘around a corner’. The remote control itself is easy for little hands to hold and Kinley had lots of fun once he realised he could do more than just push the toy around like his other cars and vehicles.
The Remote Control Car retails at around £30 depending where you purchase it from.
What we like!
This little toy is brilliant for the younger children. Kinley turns 2 in December so I personally feel their suggested age is pretty spot on. I am sure Ellis (4 years old) would have lots of fun with it too though. It is easy to use. Is bright and bold. The ‘remote control’ is chunky and perfect for little hands.
What we didn’t like!
My only negative on this product is the amount of batteries it requires. It needs 7 AAA batteries. In my opinion this is a lot for one toy. Batteries that last anything longer than 20 minutes don’t come cheap so could be expensive to keep the toy running in the long term.
Although it is a lot of batteries, what I do like is how clear it is on the box, so there should be no disappointment come Christmas or Birthday morning. Many toys put it in tiny writing on the back of the box. On this toy it was completely obvious.
Our overall thoughts!
Overall we thought the Noddy Remote Control Car is a brilliant buy. Is it worth the money? Yes, I think so. Seeing the sheer joy on Kinley’s face when he realised he could make the car move without touching it was priceless.
If you are looking for a gift for your toddler this year, I would totally recommend this product.
We were sent the Noddy Remote Control Car to review but all images, words and opinions are my own.
