My 30th Birthday Wishlist 5

It is less than 2 months now until I turn the big 3-0. And you know what? I am actually quite excited! I’m ready to turn 30. Almost like it is the next stage of my life. You know, when everything is good but yet you need that new lease of life?

When James turned 30, he hated it! So for years I imagined I would feel the same.

But I don’t.

We were talking about it the other night, and I think how you feel about turning 30 depends a lot on where you are in your life. There is a lot of pressure to be ‘doing’ certain things by the time you are 30.

When James turned 30 he was in a fairly new relationship (with me), had recently given up uni, and was working full time as a waiter (a very good waiter, but it isn’t exactly a career move), was renting a flat with a mate, and had a few quid in the bank but nothing ground breaking.

As I turn 30, I am married. with a mortgage, and 3 young children. I still don’t have any money in the bank, but I have financial responsibility, and I am looking to the future as a family. Socially, (wrongly or rightly) I am ‘ready’ to be 30.

When it comes to buying me presents, James was always brilliant when we had no other financial responsibility. Expensive gifts were our thing. But now we aren’t in a position to do that, I know he struggles a little bit.

So here is my 30th birthday wish list…just for James. But as there are many of you wanting to buy me gifts (if only) then here are some ideas!

My 30th birthday wishlist.

30th Birthday wishlist

Some tips just for you hubby…

Pretty Stationery– Just walk into paperchase, and buy everything!

Super Comfy Lounge wear– You know me, I LOVE pyjamas and slippers so I can never have enough! (extra hint…I love Next pj’s!)

Autumn clothes– You are pretty good at buying me clothes, but if it looks anything like these pictures, I am bound to love it!

A little splurge– As it is my 30th, an expensive gift is pretty much needed. A Michael Kors watch or A Mulberry Handbag (possibly slightly out of our price range!) are a good place to start!

Britmums Live Tickets– You know how much I would love to go to this next year! I will be going whether you buy these or not though 🙂

Make Up Lessons– I love make up, but I am just so pants at applying it! I would love to learn how to apply it properly. Don’t forget to keep a few pennies spare though so I can buy new make up too!
