I really wanted to write a blog post to mark Kinley’s 1st birthday. But after sitting at the laptop for a fair old while, I cannot seem to find the words. I am a complete mix of emotions today. I cannot believe he is 1 already, I have a huge amount of mummy guilt over the fact we haven’t really arranged anything for him and most of all I am immensely proud of the little boy he is turning into, albeit incredibly cheeky. I have written about Kinley’s birth, and a letter about him getting lot’s of mummy time now I am a stay at home mum, and I didn’t want to find myself repeating words I had written previously. I also didn’t want to write a sad post on what is such a happy day. We are always going to struggle celebrating Kinley’s birthday with family and close friends, as getting everyone together so close to Christmas is a pretty difficult task. I am sure once he makes friends through school and nursery it will be a different story but for now I am just going to have to get over my guilt and try to make future birthday’s as fun as possible for him. He got some lovely birthday presents, we have had plenty of cuddles and it is nice to see him stimulated with new toys. He doesn’t need much more than that at such an early age.
So, for something a little bit different I am going to share Kinley’s first year in photo’s.
I am generally quite reluctant to produce photo heavy posts, as my photography skills still need a fair amount of improving. But I actually think I have documented Kinley’s first year pretty well, and thought I would share it with you.
Happy Birthday little one. I really do love you.
