Welcome to this weeks Budget Beautiful.
A place to admire and inspire beautiful weddings on a budget of less than £12,000!
So, how does Budget Beautiful work?
I have interviewed several gorgeous ladies (and men) who’s weddings have been beautiful but have been pulled off with some incredibly low budgets. And let me tell you now, the weddings I have seen so far…STUNNING!
Each interviewee has then supplied me with a selection of their photographs to include for your viewing pleasure!
We are sharing some of the tips and tricks each bride/groom have used to keep their weddings to an affordable budget.
Each interview will be posted on the blog on a Monday morning!
But it doesn’t end there…
On a Thursday I will then provide you lovely lot with a second post that includes inspiration/mood boards and ideas to inspire those looking to achieve a similar look for a similar budget!
This week I bring you the beautiful Natalie and her gorgeous rustic pink & white colour scheme.
So, welcome Natalie! Let’s start at the beginning…
Tell us about the proposal?
Rob and I went out for a meal to our local, and when we got home he suggested we light some candles because he was cold…(should have set alarm bells ringing at this point!). I went upstairs, removed all my make up, got my PJ’s on and when I returned he was down on one knee, candles all over the living room holding the most amazing ring!
Did you have a set budget? If so, what made you choose that budget?
Our budget was £10,000- we thought this could get us an amazing day without leaving us with no money afterwards!
What was your theme/colour scheme? And what made you choose it?
After many nights spent on Pinterest, we went for baby pink and white- this fitted in with our sort of rustic theme and was just beautiful in photos.
Many magazines advise you to pick a couple of items which you do not want to compromise on, did you have any?
Definitely our photographer- we always knew that after the weddng is over, all you have are the photos so we knew that the photographer had to be spot on.
Where did you pull in favours from friends and family? Were they offered or requested?
One of our bridesmaids baked all of our 120 cupcakes (!) and Rob’s sister baked our wedding cake with her friend. We also had a friend of the family as our DJ.
Was there any moment you had to really remind yourself you had a budget to stick to?
Probably when we were choosing food and drink – I had no idea it would be so expensive but that was a massive part of the budget that we had to set aside.
Do as much of it yourself as you can- you can find so many How To videos and posts on Pintrest and Youtube- I made all my own stationery, the favours, place cards, hangers for my bridesmaids, cards for bridal party on the day- it can be done!
So there we have the lovely Natalie’s Rustic Pink & White colour scheme. Such a gorgeous, traditional look.
Thank you again Natalie for letting me share your stunning day!
Keep an eye out for Thursdays post where I will help inspire you to pull off a similar look for a similar cost!
Did you use this colour scheme? Come share your photo’s on my Facebook page (here) I would love to see them!
The budget beautiful Pinterest board is also up and running now! Come take a look! I have a few other wedding boards on there too 🙂
Coming next week: The gorgeous Fiona and her beach themed, Cadbury Purple colour scheme.
